A digital dog collar solution designed to ensure the safety and tracking of dogs during outdoor activities. The system uses LoRa technology to enable long-range communication between the collar and a handler’s receiver. The handler’s receiver connects to a mobile app via Bluetooth, providing a user-friendly graphical interface to monitor the dog’s location and activity in real-time.

I designed and developed the entire system, which included programming the Arduino to manage LoRa communication, GPS data, and Bluetooth integration. Additionally, I created a mobile app interface to enable real-time tracking and monitoring, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.

System features include:

  • Core System:
    • Built around an Arduino board programmed in C++ using PlatformIO.
  • Wireless Technologies:
    • LoRa: Provides long-range communication between the dog collar and the handler’s receiver.
    • Bluetooth: Enables short-range communication between the receiver and the handler’s smartphone.
  • Location Tracking:
    • Integrated GPS module on the collar for real-time location tracking.
  • Mobile App:
    • Built with Expo, React Native, and TypeScript, offering a graphical user interface to track and interact with the collar.
